If children are encouraged early in life to think positive thoughts, they will have no problem applying the law of attraction to their lives when they become adults.
The law of attraction is based on the idea that peoples' conscious and unconscious thoughts determine the reality their lives. And since kids are like sponges when they’re young, it’s the prime opportunity to teach them how to focus less on negative thoughts and give their attention to more positive ones. Fun Activities to Encourage Kids to Visualize the Life They WantIn order for the law of attraction to be effective in kids' lives, they must learn how to redirect their focus from the things they don't want and visualize the things they do want in life. Encouraging kids to engage in activities that help them create a mental picture of the life they want is a great way to start teaching them about the power of the mind. A wish box can be made from an old shoe box and personalized with collage materials such as paint, glitter, ribbons, scrap paper and glue. The purpose of a wish box is to give children a place to store their innermost dreams and desires. Every time kids wish for something, they can write it down on a piece of paper and stick it in their wish box. A child can also keep poems, pictures, magazine clippings, rocks, leaves, trinkets and anything else that makes her happy inside of the wish box. A vision board is another great way to encourage positive thinking in kids. Children can use a poster board to glue pictures of things they want in life. The vision board should be hung in a room where the child spends the most time such as a bedroom or playroom. Every time he looks at it, it will serve as a reminder of the wonderful dreams he has for his life. A dream journal is similar to a vision board, but instead of hanging a poster board on the wall, kids use a book or photo album to write down their thoughts and keep pictures of things they like. A dream journal gives children more privacy because it can be tucked away in a secret hiding place. Another good thing about a dream journal is that it can be updated as often as kids like. Children are constantly changing; the things they enjoy at five-years old may no longer interest them when they turn eight. A dream journal can evolve with kids by allowing them to remove, add, and update things as they mature. Mini-Meditation Techniques to Release Negative Energy When children are stressed, it’s difficult for them to be positive. Children need to be able to step outside of life’s pressures long enough to rid themselves of negative energy. One way for kids to do this is by learning how to use the deep breathing, mini-meditation technique. Children should stop what they're doing, close their eyes and take three long, slow, deep breaths – inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth. During the deep breathing exercise, youngsters should use their senses to envision things that make them happy – favorite colors, scents, tastes, and such. When the breathing is done and children open their eyes, they will feel a sense of calm wash over them. Life doesn't always make it easy to let go of negative thought patterns, but if children are taught the basic principles of the law of attraction while they're young, thinking positive will be easier for them when they become adults.
